Ibironke was born on the 23rd of February 1952 in the ancient city of Ibadan to the humble household of Vaughan-Akinloye, She attended St. Anne’s School, Ibadan where she obtained her West African School Certificate in 1969 and later the International School, University of Ibadan where she concluded her General Certificate Examinations Advanced Levels in 1972. She then proceeded to the New York Institute of Technology, New York and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences cum Laude in 1975.
Not satisfied with her already considerable achievements, she enrolled in the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University New York where she obtained her Masters in Public Health in 1978. After her graduation, she put herself to good use by working in the Department of Health, New York in various positions. Her medical career also included stints with Columbia University, New York and the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.
She returned to Nigeria in the early eighties to actualize her set objectives of assisting in the formulation and implementation of social and economic programmes for developing countries; to co-ordinate community - based projects with the assistance of government and non-governmental agencies.
It was in recognition of her hardwork and meritorious service that she was called to be the principal representative (Ambassador) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the nations of Zambia and Malawi from1999 to 2003. She served her country impeccably and returned honourably.
She currently resides in Ibadan, where she is still active in the promotion of African social, cultural, economic and diplomatic interests.
