Rauf Bello Babatunde is a graduate of University of Lagos. He is also an Associate of both the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS).

He began his career at National Sport Commission in 1988 as the Organising Secretary.He then moved to Eko International Bank Plc as the Head of Secretarial Department in 1993 and later became the Assistant Registrar in 1994.He became the Registrar of Trans International Bank Plc in 2000 and later joined First Registrars in January 2006.
