Abayomi Oluwato is an Accounting graduate of Yaba College of Technology and MBA holder from the prestigious Lagos Business School of the Pan-African University of Nigeria. He is a fellow of the  Chartered Institute Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN) and an Associate of  the Institute of Capital Market Registrars(ICMR).

He began his career with First Bank of Nigeria Plc in 1981 and left in 1992 to join Credite Bank of Nigeria LImited. He later moved over to Gulf Bank of Nigeria Plc in 1997. In 1999, he joined City Express Bank Plc where he rose to the position of an Assistant General Manager before taking appointment with First Registrars Nigeria LImited in 2006.

He is married with children.
